Why are you giving me a voucher

I just returned a product I purchased on 6 May, but I was told told that I cannot get a refund. Instead I received a voucher, which is not what Dischem's website states. The DisChem website is a mess as far as user accounts are concerned. It doesn't look like I can use the voucher for online order either, that is if one can get to order anything from DisChem's website. So now I must hold on to a thin piece of paper and hope it won't fade out soon.
