When R850 Matters
My son needed to undergo an operation in hospital and part of the admission procedure is to have a covid test done prior to the op which was schedule for 17 June 2020. I took my son to the Centurion Dis-Chem (12 June 2020) and asked the 2 ladies if I will get the results before Wed 17 June, The assistant made a call then reverted saying that I will get the results on Monday 15 June 2020. I made 16 phone calls to Dis-Chem Centurion and was either put through a phone that just rang or my call was cut. On Tuesday 16 June 2020 I called 4 times and eventually spoke to the receptionist and I asked her for the Managers number and I instructed her not to put me through to anyone who did not answer their phone and stressed on speaking to a manager. She told me that the manager was not available but the assistant manager (Charlotte) was, before she could transfer me she teased me saying"Oh she is waiting for the manager" in a cynical voice (without checking if I was on hold). I spoke to Charlotte who took my details down as well as my sons details but I never got a call back.
I called Dis-Chem again 17 June 2020 in the afternoon asking to speak to the manager, only to be put through to someone else. I told the lady my story and asked for a refund as I never got the results. She again took my details down.
Around 15h50 I received a call from "Ansie" who asked me my story again and she told me that she would only call you if your tested positive. I told her that I did not receieve the results and I want a refund. She told me that she doesnt think that it is possible to get a refund, but she will get back to me.
I have still not received the results (which I no longer need) and I would really like to get a refund ad R850 for a single mother means alot.
