We DO NOT CARE, Sorry!!!!!

My ******* experience at Dis-Chem (Carswald-Midrand) was horrifying. But the aftercare experience from its three store managers; the operational manager at Dis-Chem HO and Dis-Chem regional manger was nothing short of passing the buck, with a slap in the face attitude of sorry BUT we simply DO NOT CARE. On Feb 5th, 2020 I visited this store as soon as it opened (I was trying to optimize my time while avoiding the grid locked roads due to load shedding). As is my monthly requirement I purchased medication and disinfectants to the value of R2700.00 (my child is highly allergic to many things and is glucose intolerant and so forth). When I completed my purchases I stepped out of Dis-Chem and placed my purchases in the boot of my car (3 steps away from entrance of Dis-Chem and in full view of both security cameras and two Dis-Chem security guards standing at the entrance and exit of the store). I locked my car and stepped away to Spar for less than 5minutes. When I returned I saw a guy sitting in my car, casually popping the boot from inside, this man and his accomplice emptied my boot and all R2700 worth of purchases and casually walked away while, I shouted and called out for help and I alone gave chase of the retreating men, who then alighted an unlicensed car parked two car length away from my car. They calmly drove off. When I calmed down and stock took of being grateful to be unharmed etc. I then visited the store manager of Dis-Chem who was on duty and when I shouted for help he stepped out o the store and witnessed the entire event unfold. I shared that I am a single mom and the purchases made were medicinal and was very much needed for the wellbeing of my child. I asked Dis-Chem to consider compensating me for this ordeal and the goods just lost while both Dis-Chem security guards stood by and watched the event unfold 3 steps away from them. He advised he will discuss the situation with his other store managers and Dis-Chem HO/regional manager and get back to me asap. I called this manager almost every second/third day and he always rep**** he is very busy and did not get an opportunity to speak with HO. Eventually at the end of Feb I was referred to another store manager and after two weeks to yet another store manager. After all this delaying tact-tics I was told Dis-Chem will not compensate me for my loss (products purchased or equivalent Dis-Chem points) because the actual theft happened in my car (3steps away from Dis-Chem entrance and exit). I asked them to reconsider because I have shopped at Dis-Chem monthly for 14 years and I viewed the Dis-Chem camera footage and noted that while I shopped and paid for my goods the ****** was also in Dis-Chem (Carswald), at the entrance/exit pretending to view products while watching me at the teller. When he saw me move to the car he jammed the signal of me car remote while standing in Dis-Chem, so although I armed the car it did not lock. The camera also shows that as soon as I left the car - after using my car remote, the ****** immediately exited DisChem (Carswald) and opened my driver side door sat in my car and opened the boot. At this point I returned as the ******* was in progress. The two guards at the entrance and exit of DisChem (Carswald) was privy to the ****** watching me inside DisChem, me packing my purchases into the car, me arming the car and leaving, this ****** moving from inside the Dis-Chem store to my car, opening my car, *****ing the stuff with an accomplice, me returning and calling to the Dis-Chem security guards for help and yet Dis-Chem Carswald and its HO and its regional manager state Sorry for your loss we cannot compensate, you should try the police or the management of that centre, we are happy to release the camera footage......thank you Dis-Chem I will now shop at Clicks pharmacy for all my medicinal needs.
