Unsanitary clinic conditions

On the 21st December 2021, I witnessed an assistant at Dis-Chem opening the sealed syringes that were meant for the COVID vaccine, at 4:15pm - after they had finished doing vaccines for the day. This meant the syringes were now going to lie open in a cardboard box until the following day, rendering the syringes no longer sterile, yet they didn’t care and carried on opening them even after I asked why they were doing it.

I received a very feeble response from Dis-Chem claiming the vaccine is prepacked which is also NOT acceptable as anyone could replace the contents and also the needle would then be exposed making it no longer sterile.

I became quite sick after my vaccination, which did not happen the first time when done at a hospital in a sterile environment, and 3 weeks later, I still have a scab on my arm.

It appears that Dis-Chem is simply not interested in this problem & I imagine this is ongoing.

I believe the Department of health should intervene in this instance.
