Treating the Innocent

Dis-Chem mall of the north - Polokwane We have handed in my mothers prescription at dis-chem. They made a mistake on the medicine. The DR wrote on the prescription that my mother must take1/2 tablet at 6:00,10:00,15:00 and 19:00 on a day. The Pharmacist printed the label that we must give my mother 2 tablets at 6:00,10:00,15:00 and 19:00. When my mother start hallucinating and fall around not even being able to sit up or walk. We phone the Dr and my father took the medication to the Dr and then he told us that this dose is totally wrong. We went back to Dis-chem they only said that the dr write to ugly any person will make a mistake. But if you are unsure why dont you phone the Dr and make double sure. The pharmacist just say that he now you can write that dose to a person, but did he see the patient (he definitely did not see my mother) and can he overrule the Dr's diagnoses? When we said that this is not acceptable they threatened that they will ask security to kick us out. Is this how Dis-chem handle there clients? By kicking us out while if we continued dosing my mother with what they gave her they will be sitting with an attempted ****** case on there hands. I know anybody can make a mistake the question is are you willing to say sorry and at least try to take responsibility for your incompetency and in future make double sure before you try to drive a innocent old lady crazy with the doses you gave her.
