Terrible customer service at Dischem Rosebank

I shopped at Dischem Rosebank today. After paying for my goods I left the store and a few steps from the store ****erally like 1 minute after paying for my goods) the bag they gave me broke open. Everything fell out and the worst of it all a 500 ml bottle of gaviscon advanced smashed open on the floor. The bag broke along the seam on the side, therefore, the bag was obviously defective. I approached the manager and he stated that if it broke in the store while I was leaving he would replace it, however, because it was outside his doors (even if it was a few feet from it) he wont take responsibility. The manager was unfriendly and obviously not interested in helping. How can you SELL low quality bags to customers to carry around their medication in glass bottles. Besides the gaviscon the bag was filled with light items and the bag was packed by the staff. How could he not take responsibility for his defective products. Terrible customer service and obviously terrible products from this dischem. I hope the dischem franchise deals with this store. After this experience I would rather take my business elsewhere if this is how dischem deals with issues. No customer care/service.
