Super-Pharmacist

I had such an awesome experience yesterday, at Dis-Chem in Kenilworth.

It was in the evening just before closing, I urgently need Flu Medication for my grandmother, eye drops or ointment for my daughter, and Panados for myself.

When I got to the Pharmacy, the Pharmacist for the self medication counter wasn't there, but the one other customer in front of me, in the queue, was being kept busy but what seemed like the store manager, who was having a conversation with the customer, which was nice, as other retailers, staff would rather talk amoungst themselves, and ignore customers, especially this close to cosing.

So, I waited patiently in the queue, when out of no where, the Pharmacist, Sven Petersen, comes speeding out of the isles, gets to the counter, and immediately greets and attends to the customer in front of me, full of energy, and very enthusiastically, despite the fact the customer was on her phone most of the time.

Anyway, when I eventually get to the counter, I'm greeted and acknowledged so amazingly by this Pharmacist, that I can't help but smile, he then asks me for my details and asks how he can help, and firstly confirms a slight issue with my profile which he promptly fixes.

The fist thing I ask for is Grippon, for my grandmother, he gets it, but then asks, if my Grandmother has any heart conditions or high blood pressure, which is strange, because I wasn't asked this before when I got the medication for my Grandmother.

Thankfully, the Pharmacist was patient, and happily allowed me to phone to find out if my Grandmother had these conditions.

As it is, she does have high blood pressure, so taking Grippon, is a bad idea, he offered me an alternate medication, and then assisted me with everything else I needed, taking the time to explain everything I needed to know, even offering advice on how to get my daughter to take the eye drops without hassle.

This Pharmacist was truly amazing and helpful, this was amazing customer service, and Sven Petersen, from Dis-chem Kenilworth, you are an amazing Pharmacist, and you deserve an award, or at the very least some Acknowledgement.
