Revolting Service

I had such a terrible experience yesterday at Dischem in De Wiekus - Kempton Park. The lady who was assisting me at till number 3 was extremely rude to me. She wasted my time and didn’t even give me my receipt as proof of purchase. I spent over R300.00 and was served with truck loads of attitude. To cut a long story short, she was speaking to me in a foreign language consistently even after I advised her that I don’t understand her. She offered me a free magazine and stickers. When she was telling me how the stickers work, she then started in English something about R125.00 and quickly switched to her home language. I’m not sure what triggered that. She still proceeded to address me in her home language after having informed her that I speak Zulu and English and I don’t understand her.

English as the medium of instruction, I anticipated that she would atleast address me in English but no. She and her colleague who was at till number 4 started laughing it off. I then asked my partner for us to leave and I told that lady I will read the instructions on my own. Again, they laughed even louder she and her colleague made a joke about how Till 3 was just “bolela” whatever that meant. Ireally didn’t find anything amusing AT ALL cause she was being rude and wasn’t practicing TCF. She ruined my day in fact and my holiday. If she and her colleague practice ************** and bullying in the workplace then they should quit their jobs and find other things to do with their time. To make fun and jokes about clients and not even give them their till slips are surely not part of their job descriptions. The lady had a black wig on and has a scar on her face. The lady on till 4 was abit dark and has short hair. They both seem old to me and I had initially greeted her with respect, In my language and she greeted me back then asked for my card in English so I knew I had to just speak English throughout but she gave me the worst service ever. I have never had such appalling service at Dischem before. The cashiers are ALWAYS professional without fail. I guess yesterday was my unlucky day or perhaps she just felt like dishing out disrespect to me.

I would like to have my receipt sent to my email address. I purchased the goods at 12:44 and they were to the value of R300.02.
