Really BAD service regarding Vaccination

2 weeks ago I made a booking via the Dis-Chem website for my vaccination. I specifically chose Dis-Chem as they offered the J&J vaccine. I selected the J&J vaccine and from the available vaccination sites and time slots, I then chose Dis-Chem at Festival Mall. So far so good!

Then .... on the day to get my vaccine. Friday 10 Sept, I arrived at Dis-Chem at my allocated time slot, and was met outside by 2 ladies who provided a form to complete, which I promptly did and once again specified the J&J vaccine. After about 10min was directed to a queue inside Dis-Chem with the number 3 in the queue, where I waited for about an hour to be the next person to get the vaccine. Several people ahead of me in the queue without numbers (assuming walk-ins) were attended to first. Although I made a booking, it appears to be meaningless even though a sign said that bookings had priority!

Once I was allowed into the consulting room I was told that they only have the Pfizer vaccine. I was not happy at all! But the ladies didn't seem to care much about that. Not even an apology.

Then I left the room and after getting other meds, I went to the 2 ladies outside the store and asked them why they didn't tell me that the J&J vaccine is not available at this Dis-Chem. They just looked at me and shrugged.

Now to top it all .... I sent an email to *** and cc'd the store manager of that branch. Although the branch manager made an apology, there was no resolution or alternative provided, and thereafter starting showing me that I was basically wrong and they are right, etc.

To date, other than a reply from careline stating they will "escalate to the relevant department", nothing else from them at all. No Care, no response, no resolution, no nothing. And now I am left hanging.

But wait ... while in the queue, I received an SMS stating that I have received my vaccination with a Proof of Vaccination Code. Whoopie.... didn't even feel a thing. Over 90min wasted at Dis-Chem (despite a booking), travel time and fuel, parking fee, and also a day of leave wasted .... and it really feels that Dis-Chem just couldn't CARE! And still no resolution, alternative or fix. Except they want to reverse everything, which is not a resolution at all.

Based on the comms with this branch, my family will never support that Dis-Chem ever again and we will share this experience with everyone.
