Promotional price not loaded and staff unaware of specials
Eastgate Dischem has the worst service ever and once you get to the cashier/Till points the specials advertised are not loaded or the price on the shelf is not the price scanned once you reach the cashier. Example they adverstise a special on 2x packets of sweets for R30 and once you get to the cashier you have to explain and show the advert in the paper stating that there is a special and that it is 2x for R30 not 2x for R39.90.
If the price is listed in your promotional paper which you can collect by the door before you enter, then why do staff as well as management not know about the specials listed. It is the duty of the managers to notify the staff on the specials listed in the promotional pamphlets. It is not the customers duty to tell the staff what is on special and to constantly give the cashier my pamphlet and tell them that it is the same company that is on special.
Your specials should be loaded and staff need to be trained and told what specials are currently running. Management seem disinterested in assisting customers. Another issue is the price of a YOU magazine has a barcode as well as a price listed on the magazine, stating R32.00. You cannot just increase the price to R42.00 for a magazine. The barcode is on the magazine/s for a reason. You have no right to raise the price to what you want customers to pay and the manager I spoke to then showed me his list showing that the price had increased. Which is not correct as I stated there is a barcode on the magazine for a reason. Once again you have decided to raise the price and I am sure that I am not the only client who was conned with the R10.00 increased price in your store.
This is not right. You are conning client by putting your own prices on the system. And your management and staff have no idea or training on Customer service.
