Poor sevice from Dis-Chem Phamarcy at The Glen
On the 17th of August 2020, my wife and I visited the Dis-Chem store at The Glen to take in my son for his 6 weeks immunisation vacine and check up. I was also there to do a health assessment. Before I was assisted, the customers who were behind me were advised to come back around 13:45 as the sister(Sidesihle Masuku) would not be available after servicing me. We recieve POOR SERVICE from the sister/nurse that was supposed to be helping us, you would swear she was in rush to go to her lunch break. My son's check up was a tickbox exercise, wife was being questioned by the sister/nurse on all the checks on the baby rather than doing the checks herself. My health assessment was also a tickbox exersice too, I was even told that my medical aid does not cover me to do a HIV test and I will only be able to do a basic check on my health assessment. I offered to call Bankmed to get clearity and she advise that there was no need as she has the codes in her book, she then proceeded with doing the basic health assessment with me and advise me that Bankmed would be in contact with me if I need to do a HIV test. I then advised her that I'm on a comprehensive cover and she ignored me, I asked her if I should call Bankmed again and she still advised that there was no need. As soon as I got home after my had also explained her experience, I then called the store to speak to the store manager (Jose) and advised him of the service we recieved at the clinic. He advised me that he would not be able to assist and I must speak to the Pharmacy manager who he will ask to call me back. A few minutes later I recieved from the sister/nurse(Sidsihle Masuku), of which my wife answered the call and she was advised that we should come back to the store to do all the our checks including my HIV test, she also advised that she was also doing us a favor by assisting us because clinic was actually running a pap smear campaign. We were supposed to make a booking . We then advised her that we had called the call centre to make a booking in the morning and we were told that same day booking are not done but we can go to the store as there is a sister available to assist walk in customer. After recieving that call from the nurse instead of the manager I decided to call the Dis-Chem call centre to log a complaint and recieved a reference number***) after my complaint was logged. I recieved a call last week from the complaints team and I was advised that I woud get feedback. It is now 10 day later and I have not recieved feedback from Dis-Chem but I have fully paid for their bad service from my medical aid.
