Poor service, product knowledge and absent stock

The service at Sea Point Dis-Chem is terrible and no matter how much one complains it just never improves.

My dad had a stroke in February this year. I went to the store to buy supplies as we were going to care for him at home. I could not find anybody that was willing or could advise me on incontinence products etc. No product knowledge if you actually find someone who is willing to help. There are some amazing staff who are always willing to help, but they don't work in the departments that I am shopping in.

I spend on average R1000 per week at this store. Every week I comment on low stock and remind the staff to please order more nappies/stress pads. Last week I did just that - surprise there was no stock today.

Until you are looking after someone and have to struggle to buy these products, you do not understand the struggle.

Management is equally pathetic - I have complained so many times and there is no improvement.

Another problem is that they often run out of big bags - often!!! Now a customer has to pay for six smaller bags when they could have bought 2 big ones... do you guys no to do stock counts or keep tabs on your inventory.

Many people in the area rely on this store - please jack up your service, product knowledge and keep tabs on your stock!
