Poor service!

I purchased a nan 1 two days ago however my child is now on nan 2 . I went to exchange it however I was advised it's not allowed . It's a sealed and untouched tin . I cannot understand why that is a problem for a major outlet like Dischem. It's not cheap product for me to just buy another . Would Dischem rather my child drink the incorrect milk???
