Pharmacists who DON'T care...

I went into Woodmead this morning to get a prescription for my mother, who is in the final stages of cancer. One of the items on the script is Duragesic, which is a S6 drug and can only be dispensed once a month due to medical aid restrictions. Out of stock. So I asked the pharmacist to phone Norwood to see if I can go over there to get it - she needs it this weekend. I asked that it be ready and waiting for me to just pop in and get it. The pharmacist at Norwood flatly refused, saying I would have to come and stand in the queue to get it - although the Woodmead pharmacist had the original script in her hand.<br> <br> So we move on to the next item on the list, Serenase, to be told 'You need 15, we only have 5'...<br> Then I needed more general items... Epsom Salts - out of stock. Bicarb - out of stock. <br> <br> That all took me 1 1/4 wasted hours. Now I have to go to Norwood and in all likelihood, spend an equal amount of time there - so much for the 'order and your script will be ready' promise.<br> <br> This weekend I am moving my parents out of their home of 40 years into my home. I REALLY don't need this today. I'm not the only one, a lady in the queue behind me was complaining of the same thing.
