Perfumes - -parallel imports ?

Perfumes - I purchased a perfume not so long ago, Silver scent as this was going on special. I noticed the smell didnt last long and I had this perfume previously and the smell was intense and long lasting, my conclusion is that these were parallel imports and if this is the case, the store should inform their customers, not mislead us into believing these are originals.
