Pathetic Service!!

On Saturday, 2nd of September 2023, I had taken my mum to Dischem Pharmacy, Menlyn Mall to buy her meds.

We were informed at the Dispensery counter that the Vitamin B shots are now available and should go to the nurses station. My mum who is a pensioner and very ill stood waiting for a while.

The nurse had a patient and once she had finished, she walked out and locked her room, stating she is closed. I then asked the nurse if she could please assist my mum as she's ill, she said no she is closed. It is very sad that a nurse would see an old pensioner who is ill stand helpless at the door and walk away.

The nurse then stated, I can work after hours but who is going to pay me overtime?! She referred us to people working at the dispensery counter, stating they will never work extra as they won't get paid over time...(we the clients should ask them).

It is only after we mentioned that this will be reported, she asked my mum "are you sick" after numerous times of telling her. Really?? Is this what custome service is?

So Dischem, is this the type of service your staff if trained to give? Does the nurses actually have patients at heart? It is really pathetic and sad that staff is driven by just money...

It's a shame that Dischem Nursing does not CARE!!!
