NOT IN MY JOB SPEC

Dear Dis-chem - Pharmacist that care - Somerset Mall (Western Cape)

Last night my husband became ill.

He showed the following symptoms:

Lightheadedness. Fainting (syncope) *** lucky for us he did not faint! Blurred vision. Nausea.

We approached the Pharmacist on call at the time (17:00 to 18:00) Wednesday April 13th 2019.

I asked if she could please test my husbands blood pressure and sugar to enable me to ascertain what I should purchase from Dis-chem, the Pharmacist that care.

Maybe some water, biltong and or something sweet for my husband.

To my utter disgust her prompt reply hit my ears like an atomic bomb: IT IS NOT WITHIN MY JOB SPEC!!!.

Imagine my dismay in my hour of NEED & STRESS ....

I must admit that I would rather have expected from an educated, professional individual, working for a respectable chain store, something more along the lines of: So sorry you are not feeling well. Currently we do not have the facility to test you BUT you could pop in at... or go to ....

I would just like to add that I thank God nothing happened to my husband last night at Dis-chem.
