Not assisting with supplying / sourcing Chronic medicine.

For the last 2 years I have been using Dis-Chem (Mega City, Mahikeng) to order my Chronic medicine and up to April of 2026 I had no issues. But as from May 2026and now in June 2026 I have not been able to secure my blood pressure medicine, Coversyl Plus from them as they do not have stock and seems to also not have any of the myriads of generics for that same product available. I have requested to be contacted when it becomes available and every time it boils down to the same answer that their supplier has not been supplying them with this and that is it. I went to Clicks and Low and behold they have plentiful stock but they cannot assist as my 6 month script is with Dis-Chem. I now have to go to a Dr. and get a new script and pay full price for the appointment just to get my medicine from them as my Dr is not contracted to a medical Aid. So basically Dis-Chem show that they do not care about their clients wellbeing and health and does not even try to assist with sorting this out. Please take note that the staff at the Mega City branch is extremely helpful, friendly and I do not have an issue with them. My issue is with the non- availability of a common medicine and the reluctance of the company to assist in any way. Maybe next time I should use Clicks to hand my 6 months script too as they seemed eager to assist and also carries stock. Not a happy person at this stage. :(
