No date advertised for end of sale

Last week when i shopped at Dis-chem i was given a free magazine, which i read through on Saturday. I was thrilled to see an Epi lady for special at R499, so today i went to purchase , where i was then charged R699. So because i recalled seeing it in the magazine for so much cheaper i went home to get the magazine and dbl check, whereupon i also checked to see when the special ended, no indication in the magazine as to when the special ended so i returned to the Norwood store where the store manager became quite belligerent and said that the special was over even although it has NO indication in the magazine. As far as i am concerned why give me this free magazine to see specials if they have already ended :(
