Most useless service from Dischem The Glen
Dis-Chem is currently running a promotion in their beauty salon for gelish nails. I unfortunately booked an appointment at The Glen branch of Dischem for 16:30 today. I was advised by the person that took the appointment that they only close at 18:30 and would have more than enough time to do my nails - I clarified upfront if 16:30 wasn't too late and the response was no.
When I arrived the nail technician's first reaction was an arrogant " what time was your appointment" - then believe it or not, they don't have a colour chart. We get past this and she she constantly checks her watch while rushing through the painting. I can very clearly see that she is doing a " short cut "job to finish quickly but accept this and give her the benefit of the doubt thinking that she knew what she was doing.
When she was done, the nail polish is smudged on numerous nails and due to her rush to get out of the store, she is unable to rectify. She has a can't be bothered attitude and it is disgusting to pay full price for such a disgusting work on nails.
Firstly, besides being totally unprofessional, I am uncertain as to why they booked an appointment for 16:30 if the nail technician does not want to work late as she did NOT provide the necessary service for a near professional nail application. It is ridiculous to pay the full price for a professional paint and receive such a shoddy, pathetic , unprofessional job. She clearly was not in the mood to work and was annoyed at the late appointment.
Secondly, her response to the bad work was that I must come in the next day and she will check - does Dischem salon staff think that we sit around twiddling our thumbs and able to come through for fixes when it suits them - they clearly dont understand the concept of customer service and pride in work.
The Glen Dischem Salon Not recommended .
