Lost Child in the making

I bought a safety toddler leash from Dischem Baby City at Ptesident Hyper. Vaal in December 2022. I barely used it and it broke. The strap tore put and my child came loose. Nr 1 it was not as safe as everyone says and nr 2 I returned it to Baby City as it was still brand new. My child is 4 and all he did was pull the strap. I left it at Baby City as they said the rep was only back on the 11th of Janaury 2023. Today I went to find out what was happening as I had spend so much to buy a decent strap. The cashier told me the rep said sorry they can do nothing as it is ware and tear. I took back the broken leash only to throw it in the garbage.
