LOCKDOWN SHOPPING CAN BE PLEASANT
Prescriptions had to be renewed so this is one trip outside the home we were prepared to make. The queue outside Dis-Chem was orderly with social distancing ensured with red tape strips. Waiting was somewhat tedious but chairs are provided for more elderly people which my husband was grateful for. Once inside the wait at the dispensary was long as usual. My husband and I play tag team so that he can mainly sit down on the bench. This allowed me to go round and collect other supplies like Organic Honey, Unbleached Flour, Dates and some supplements. Dis-Chem was still out of stock of their Gold Label 500mg Vitamin C for the second month. One prescription item (Calciferol) was incorrectly dispensed which the pharmacist phoned to tell me. However, as it's not life threatening it wasn't worth making a second trip for. The range of Unbleached Flour was lacking in variety as only Cake Flour was available. As shopping goes, it was one of the more enjoyable experiences, more so as there was a very short wait at the till. If there is a complaint I'd say the current stock of toilet paper seems to be of a reject quality as serrations are few and the paper quality is poor/inferior.
