Lack of transparency/ False advertising

Currently Dis-chem has the Disney shop and collect thing running. So you can shop online and earn stickers as well as instore. However what they fail to tell you is that their online and instore transaction does not work together. So you cannot use your combined stickers to claim. In this age of technology , how is this possible. Maybe just a gimmick to ensure customers cannot claim .
