Incorrect medicine given to patient

On 1 January 2016 at 16:45 my husband went to collect my script. The assistant gave it to the pharmacist who checked it and it was given to my husband. However, it was not my medication but a very different medication. A medication used to treat cancer, among others. I was without my very necessary medication and had to go back to the pharmacy on Saturday 2 January. Pharmacist changed it and acknowledged it was the mistake of the pharmacist on duty the previous day. He took my contact details but no one has contacted me. The specialist I see had changed the dosage of my medication and if I was not vigilant I could have assumed he changed my medicine and taken this potentially dangerous medication I was dispensed. I find it distressing that not only was I without my medication but was given a potentially dangerous medicine. I find it strange that despite my contact details been given, I have not been contacted. This error was serious and could have resulted in serious suffering for me and my family. I contacted my endocrinologist and informed him of what had happened too.
