Incorrect Injection given to my 9 month old son.

My Son is a few weeks past due on his 9 month injection, with it being January, I did his 6 month (State Stock) Injection at Cradlestone Dischem in October.

Yesterday morning we decided to go to Rustenburg Dischem, so I Phoned for a appointment exactly like last time, asked for a injection appointment for state stock for my 9 month old, got a time and off we went.

We arrived at the appointment, filled in the form's with my details and my son's details and went inside. Received his injection and to our horror a R1200 bill!?

After telling the receptionist, the Sister and the Manager that i specifically made the appointment for state stock. I was informed that Rustenburg, NW does not receive state stock.

The injection my son received is not even on the mandatory list of injections. It was a optional one. Completely a different type of injection. Meaning I'll have to take my son in again for the Mandatory injection.

I even asked if its not on the agents shoulders, its obvious that the fault came from there. I was advised that I can take it up with them. When they complain They get shouted at.

Even when phoning (after my appointment) the call agent confirmed that the agents are aware that NW does not offer state stock.

I was asked how much am i willing to pay because this is on the sister's shoulders,?!

I informed them that I specifically made my appointment for state stock (I do not have the funds) and the agent never advised anything regarding this branch not getting state stock or that this injection will be a private injection.

I asked if i could possibly make a arrangement because I am not willing to pay R1200. Maybe half now and half the end of the month.

I was belittled by the management of the store saying I'll have to go and draw the money, they'll put it in the safe with my son's clinic book, and once a pay the outstanding amount I'll get the book back?

Like ***, I told her that if anything happens to my son I'll require his book, we are not from Rustenburg so we can't quickly go in and fetch it. Is there no way i can maybe keep his book. No unfortunately they'll keep it till account is payed.

I was forced to pay the full account before leaving, I literally had no choice, every single mother'lly instinct told me if we get in a accident or if he needs to go to the hospital for anything we will be cornered.

I have never in my life felt more wronged than yesterday at Dis-Chem Pharmacies

They made me feel like an immunization **** artist. They made me feel like it was my fault the appointment was incorrectly made?!

We live on a single income household, every single cent counts.

And being forced to pay a account that was not even a possibility to pay in a good month was beyond me.

The most funny thing or you can call it F* up thing is the Manager begged me to lay a complaint because this is the third time this has happened at this branch.

Meaning every one knows there is a problem in the appointment system?!

I will not be silenced, I'm going to keep on singing my tune till pay funds are returned.
