INCORRECT DIPENSING OF MEDICATION
This is a copy of the email sent to Dischem Carldwald "Good day, Please see attached script from Dr Naidoo and a picture of how the medication was dispensed at Dischem Carlswald. I am giving my mother her medication and am working according to the doctor’s script and not what’s on the box. My mother started taking Venlafaxine for nerve pain, she has cancer. She is 84 years old and if she was taking the medication as the box suggests she would have overdosed on the antidepressants. I would like an explanation for this, as the dispensing of the medication was checked, by an experienced person. This is unacceptable and I will be taking this further. Please do not contact Mrs Rix directly as she is too ill to deal with this, but contact me by email only." I asked specifically to be contacted by email only. So, some guy PHONES me. He asked if he could talk and I said NO I wanted to be contacted by email only. He says he just wants to say they are busy with it. (Not verbatim) It's a simple complaint to follow up on, and to finalise. Not heard a word from them again. But they really are not interested in the fact that they could have caused serious harm to my mother. Shows you how much they care about patients. Or are interested in the complaints lodged.
