I was in Dischem Cresta on Saturday morning. I was grossly mistreated. The one security guard saw me looking at the Essence eye pencils and what he then did not see was I put the pencil back. I went on to pay for the other toiletries I wanted and left the store. I was shopping with my sister. After we left Dischem we went into CNA, spent about 5min there and went up the escalator. As we got to the top of the escalator, by the VANS shop, a man approached me suspiciously. This man was wearing civic clothes, no badge or tag to say that he works at Dischem. This guy went on to accuse me of leaving Dischem with a pencil I did not pay for. Only afterwards did the security guard appear and I suggested we go back to the store and not cause a scene in the mall! When we got back to the store, the security guard refused to search us! WHAT WAS THE POINT OF HUMILIATING ME IN THE MALL THEN!!! The store manager then came after I insisted I wouldn't leave the store without being searched. We were then searched. The store manager was very rude! He wouldn't even listen to my side of the story and that is not how I expect to be treated as a loyal customer to Dischem!! I was so traumatised by the whole experience I ended up leaving the mall without finishing the rest of my shopping. Unfortunately, I do not remember the store managers name, but he has an Afrikaans surname and wears spectacles. Another thing that ****ed me off, there were CCTV cameras in the room where we then went to get searched. Why did the security guard not check the feed before attacking us!!!!
