Incompetence Rules.

In the last quarter of 2018 my father in law was diagnosed with terminal cancer and of course needed various medications as prescribed by his oncologist, the closest big pharmacy to me is the Dis-Chem at Glen Acres in Kempton Park. This pharmacy needs a shake up, in one instance the incorrect dosage of pain medication was dispensed, so we could not control the pain in a terminally ill person and only picked this up after a couple of days of not managing, sure they apologized and replaced with the correct dosage, this was morphine tablets, schedule 8 and highly addictive . A week later the incorrect antibiotic is dispensed, this time for my mother in law, again we pick this up after a week or so and again an apology and the correct medicine is dispensed. The fact that in both cases the patient did not get the relief they should have got because of negligence is completely ignored. Now when I get anything from any pharmacy I triple check. Recently one of the accounts was rejected by the medical aid as this Dis-Chem had forgotten to insert the ICD 10 codes on the invoice, the medical aid will not pay without this so we have had to pay and in the interim have asked Dis-Chem for a corrected invoice, well you would think I was asking for them to change the world, I was rudely informed that since it is from October head office will have to make the changes and they will be in touch with me, so far I have not heard a word. Bad attitude, *********** dispensing and total lack of accountability.
