Health in jeopardy because of scripted medication not given by Dis-chem

<p>In the month of June I was unfortunately hospitalized and had to be on chronic medication. 1st month after being released from the hospital and received my medication from a clicks pharmacy where I must say had a very professional and painless experience, however I did not leave my script with them because Dis-chem was closer and more convenient for me, or so I thought at that time!, so I decided to leave my script there rather. On the 26 July 2016 I went to the Dis-chem pharmacy at the Pavilion mall in Westville Durban to collect and leave my script with them so that I can collect from them on a monthly basis, when i was given the medication I noticed that some of the tablets for my skin was not there, this was an antibiotic that I had taken the month previous as well. I than asked the lady about this and she explained to me that I do not need that antibiotic any longer and that I wasn't a repeat. i than took her word for it since she was a pharmacist after all and I left with what was given to me. On Sunday the 28 August 2016 and went to the same Dis-chem pharmacy again where I had left my script to collect my medication and lucky to say it was already packaged and waiting for me. I was attended by a lady called Fayika Manarsingh, who for one wasn't wearing a name badge so I am not even sure if that is her real name, however upon going through my medication I noticed again that the same antibiotics for my skin that wasn't given to me the previous month were now included again. I than asked Fayika about this and explained to her what I was told last month about this antibiotics from one of her colleague's, she was extremely rude and told me that I should take it up with the person who gave me the medication. I than told her that since she is also representing Dis-chem she should at least try and find out whats going on or retrieving my script, her answer was, and I quote " I DO NOT REPRESENT DIS-CHEM,I REPRESENT MYSELF", I was very confused and disappointing by that statement since she was standing behind a Dis-chem counter and wearing a Dis-chem uniform. Fayika's service is appalling, in all my years in the customer service sector i have not seen such disrespect and attitude towards a customer. She ended our conversation by telling me to my face that she doesn't have to deal wit this and she left me standing there without even making an effort to find out what went wrong with my script and she went to assist another customer and another counter. Not only was she rude but she was not bothered that my health was now in jeopardy because of what I was told by one on her colleagues. Dis-Chem does not need people like Fayika especially if they have to deal with sick people. I am still waiting for someone from Dis-chem to explain to me why I was told that i do not need the medication that my Dr had prescribed for me.</p>
