Gift Card not given at the store! Can't get replacement or Refund

We went to Dischem at Flamingo Shopping Centre to buy a gift for R2200. When we got back to office there was no card in the box, we only had the box and the slip. Everything was in the plastic bag, the items and The gift box/packet but no card. Number also the teller didnt swipe my dischem benefit she said she forgot after I reminded her. So we had to travel to eastgate mall for a lunch to we decided we will just go to that dischem and new a card because we had the slip we thought they would give us a new. The experience at Eastgate was terrible, the lady(gugu sikhakwane) that was "helping" had an attitude, we got there 2 pm and we wwaiting for hours, when we asking for updates she gave us attitude responded rudely. We left the store 3:45pm with no because the head office was not answering their phone. I decided to Dischem to ask them to assist they tell they cant replace card so basically we lost our money. I am not even sure that teller at dischem flamingo gave me, they kept on asking if I swiped my card im like she didnt swipe I think she did that on purpose coz she they would ask if i swiped my dischem card. I just a replacement without the hassles we cant lose the money. They tell me about the T &Cs which were told to me before I bought the gift so the T & Cs cant apply. Its too much money to let slide and its giving *****. They just replace the card and block the other or just give me refund back. This is really bad.
