False Advertising
I went into Dis-Chem walmer park store yesterday to purchase X 2 fitbit devices, they were advertised at R1999 (For a black Alta HR) and R2500 (For a rose gold Alta HR) I was pleased as this pricing was reasonable compared to other retail stores and online stores. This pricing was clearly visible on the box and was pasted on with a nice label. HOWEVER, when I went to pay for the items both ended up ringing up R500 more, I queried and was told unfortunately I will have to pay full price. This is not accetpable, this is complete false advertising, you do not label an item with a price and not sell it to the customer for what it is advertised for. I was also informed if I come in the next day to purchase the item I will pay 10% less off normal price, I clearly stated that I am not interested as this is no where near what I would pay at the price the item was advertised. This I felt was very unfair and should be taken well note of
