F**** ROWAN at Dischem Craddlestone needs re-training

I wish to lay a complaint about one of your line managers at Dischem, Craddlestone Mall, Krugersdorp. My 95 year old mother has been using ‘gallons’ of Lucozade for many years, almost always purchased from various Dischem branches on the West Rand – this is necessary to augment her failing strength. On 20 March I bought 7 x 1 Litre bottles from Dischem Craddlestone. The price on the shelf was R27.60. I took all of the 1 Litre bottles – there were only 7 available. When I got home, about 20 kms away as I live close to Lanseria Airport, I noticed that the price of R39.95 per bottle was charged on the slip – a difference of R12.35 per bottle. As both my Mother and I are SASSA pensioners, this gross overcharge was totally unacceptable. I tried telephoning Dischem 3 times in order to confirm the price on the R27.60 but after listening to your taped message for approx.. 10 minutes each, I put down the phone and drove back to the branch. I took the 7 bottles inside to the Refunds Desk, went and collected the price tag off the shelf and showed the ‘hardly-interested’ Refund Staff Member the correct price. I also said that as I had been greatly inconvenienced by the branch’s incompetence I expected some sort of compensation for the inconvenience and unnecessary use of my own petrol. They called a line manager called F**** ROWAN over to us and I explained how unhappy I was about having been overcharged and having to use my petrol. F**** simply said that Dischem policy is not to refund for petrol or any other kind of inconvenience compensation and as I was still talking to him, just walked away from us. He did not even offer an apology for Dischem’s incompetence but just walked away. I think this is disgusting behaviour and your ‘apparent’ care for your customers is false. I will definitely be going to CLICKS from now on – I don’t like being treated like an unruly child.
