Don’t want to fulfill the warranty

I purchased a Humidifier from Dischem on the 17th of June 2022. The product it is defective now, it is leaking, so I took it back to the store and they said to me they can’t do anything cause it has a 1 year warranty so I took it back home. When I got home and referred to the box, it stated 2 Years Warrantee. I went back to the store and they assessed and now they say I put chemical in it and nothing can be done. And while assessing it, they damaged it, because I was reporting a leaking and now after their assessment it is no longer working.
