Don't trust Dis-Chem

Dis-Chem apparently use pharmacy 'assistants', but whatever the case, there are now 3 instances that I am aware of, including my own, where the wrong drug has been dispensed. In my case, a schedule 5 drug was dispensed as a 'generic' of one of my prescribed medications, which it absolutely was not. It was a highly dangerous drug and the dispensing person instructed me to take the same amount of it as my prescribed medication, which was approx. 15 times the average prescribed dose of that (wrong) drug. For over a month I have struggled mentally, physically, emotionally and have been unable to work properly or at all. Dis-Chem's response - to refer the matter to their insurers to deny liability! They won't pay my direct expenses and ignore my loss of income and doctors' reports on the effect on me of their gross negligence. Shameful, especially for a publicly listed company with huge market share - which means they could be doing this to masses of consumers, without consequence.
