Dissatisfied and disgruntled Customer

I purchased an elektra health steamer from dischem clearwater mall some time back, I had been using the vicks brand steamer prior to this.

The reason for this products purchase is because it was advised by the sales consultant at dischem.

After about 2 to 3 months or so, I went back to dischem to complain that the element inside as well as the steamer reservoir was accumulating some type of rust even though I was cleaning it regularly aswell as the water level floater was not functioning.

The sales person at dischem told me that they can't take it back or do anything for me as it is normal for this to be happening with the steamer, I told him I don't agree as I have never had this issue with the vicks brand steamer..

He went on to tell me I should clean the element with rough salt etc n that was all that they could assist me with.

It is highly disappointing to receive such poor service from a store such as dischem and for the product that was about R500 to be doing this literally from the inception
