Dissappointed by Dis-chem return policy/ service

I am not happy with Dis-chem return service. I bought an item which was on promotion and realised the size was incorrect. When I went back to exchange the promotion had ended. My understanding is that the items should be exchanged at the price bought as per proof of purchase. It has always been like that with other retail stores. I am so dissappointed
