Dispensing of Refills - Not Good
I had a 6-month repeat script for Puricos, that I could order through the Dis-Chem app and collect at my nearest Dis-Chem. Then, my wife also was prescribed Puricos, and that is where the wheels fell off. Your system seemed unable to process the fact that both of us had been prescribed the same medication, and the app would indicate that my medication had been dispensed, meanwhile it was for my wife. For my last two refills, at least, I could not use the app, and had to go into Dis-Chem to get my refill.
Come January, and my last refill, it looks like I will be able to order it due 25 January. All is good until I open the app on 25 January, and it tells me that it has already been dispensed on 6 January, however, that was when my wife collected her refill of this and other medication. I thought, oh well, so much for the app. I went to Dis-Chem today, and they told me that my last refill was dispensed on 6 January, and I said no, that was for my wife, mine wasn't due until 25 January. Then the next excuse was that my script had expired, that does not even make sense.
I check on the claims made to my medical aid for the Puricos, and at least that was claimed correctly, so at least the person doing your claims knows what they are doing, but there is clearly a deficiency on the dispensing side.
So now, thanks to your system's inefficiencies when it comes to dispensing our medication here, I can no longer get my last refill. I will go to my Doctor for a new script, but will certainly not register it at Dis-Chem again, but rather one of your competing pharmacies. Heck, I would trust the Herbal Dr in Bloed Street more than Dis-chem at the moment.
