disgusted with the level of service

<p>22 March I called the Hemmingsway DIschem branch and made arrangements for collection of my husband medication. When I went to fetch the medication, it was not ready and I had to go in the que which I didn't mind. I was assisted by an elderly white man who refused to give me the medication without a script . It was almost closing time so I beggged him to please help me out for just 1 days supply of pressure tablets as I have re located and I am unable to get the script from my previous pharmacy as it was closed. I pleaded to him to please try and assist me as my husband was suffering with headaches and he desperately needed the medication. But he still refused to assist due to policy n procedures. I then asked for the manager and thats when he started to raise his voice at me and told me that his in charge and no one else could help me. I was totally embarrassed coz customers n staff watched how rude he was towards me. He was screaming at me that a staff member had to come to the counter and I had to ask her to please tell him to stop screaming at me. However he didn't care n continued to raise his voice refusing to give me the medication. The staff just nodded their heads but this man was becoming aggressive for no reason. Seeing this 2 staff members came to the counter and explained that they did not inform me abt the script when I called. He started to bang the keyboard with frustration blocking my account. He started to complain loudly in my presence to the staff that if he doesn't issue me the medication then his a big bad wolf. I was shocked and I told him that I will lay a complaint. That's when he threatened me and pulled the medication off the counter refusing to give it me. I'm totally disgusted that DIschem has someone of this nature in their company. The 1 days supply of the 2 pressure tablets R7.83. This man who created such a scene about policy and procedures breeched the policy as the medication that was issued to me was given under someone's name. </p>
