**************

I was at Dischem in Randburg Square and got told by one of the ladies at the till (Gugulethu Buthelezi) that I shouldn't address her in English. I mentioned to her that in a space she is working in, surely English should not be a problem and the constitution allows me to address her in a language that she can understand. Her facial expression told me that she wasn't impressed. She proceeded to tell me that addressing her in English is not necessary. And yet before I came to the till she was speaking to another customer in English.

Please deal with this behaviour, this is not acceptable in this country. I'm allowed to speak any language I want as long as the other person can understand, without being discriminated against or mistreated.
