Dischem your Nurses are inhumane

I am writing this to inform you about 2 nurses at your baby clinic that just gave me the most horrible experience I have ever had. Horrible is an understatement.

21 feb 2024, I had a 1:30 appointment at the Liberty Promenade mall for my daughters 6 month injection and as you are aware, these are only done on a Wednesday.

Normally, my daughter would receive her injections from nurse Celeste. Today nurse Celeste was off as the receptionist informed me. She then instructed me to go to the male nurse which my wife and I politely declined and said we would prefer a female nurse. As far as I am aware, we are well within our rights to state who we want. The receptionist then told me he already signed in the book (bear in mind, without even seeing to my daughter or administering the injection to her). He then said it’s fine and gave the receptionist my daughter’s clinic book and she went to the female nurse to inform her that we wanted her.

The female nurse then comes out and ask what the problem is so we then inform her we would prefer her as it is our right and as per our religion. She then blatantly says no she will not because the male nurse already signed and wrote in batch numbers and she is on lunch. We then told her why does he fill in things before he sees us and she says “so we make the consultation time less” , baring in mind, when placing a booking it says 20min consultation. Also, we were the only people at the clinic so why the rush?

So we then said okay seeing that it’s only done on a Wednesday we would then so against believes and go to the male nurse. He comes out and he says “ I will not see to you as you wasted my time because I already filled in the book and I will now have to open the medication cabinet again”. Whose fault is that ? Why is he filling in a book when he hasn’t even seen my daughter. So the book is filled in but with no injection administered.

I made this appointment way in advance bc of how fully booked the clinic always is and for me to rebook and there are only 4 weeks in a month and for the receptionist only to tell me the next appointment is 22nd May. My daughter is only 6 months for 4 weeks. Come on now.

I am flabbergasted by the service I’ve received. Nurses are supposed to be passionate and patient. If you revert to your cameras you will be able to see who those nurses were. They were absolutely rude and both basically refused to see my daughter which infringed our rights.

Not to mention, we had to take time off work for this appointment and this is the treatment we get.

Nurse Celeste is the best nurse you’ve got. I absolutely appreciate her good service and that she lives up to what a nurse should be like.

I will definitely be posting this everywhere and I am waiting for your response. I demand a response and what action will be taken. A very unhappy parent and customer
