Dischem Removing Benefit Points without prior communication

I'm quite disappointed of how Dischem has implemented a new policy to their benefit points scheme. I was accumulating hard earned points over the past 2 years to achieve an amount of close to R1300 to suddenly find out in May 2023 that the benefit points expire.

I've been a dischem benefit member for years and have never had any points expire, every single time I go to the tellers to make payment I always ask if these benefit points expire and without fail every single teller has told me "No they dont expire at all". This might not seem like a big issue for most but for me saving these benefit points with hard earned money spent at dischem to now sudden have half my points removed is a big deal for me as I was accumulating for a rainy day given the way the economy is going.

I contacted dischem to get a ridiculous response to say that there were new T&C's implemented in 2021, okay great but they did not even bother to send me any formal communication of this new policy nor did they even bother to update all of their staff to inform customers of this change.

If they had informed me adequately then granted I would have no room to complain and raise this concern but since they kept quiet about it and have benefit points expire without prior communication is not professional of dischem.

I'm trying to retrieve my hard earned points back but this is a only going issue.
