Dischem refusing to repay my money after a double charge!!!

On the 06th of February 2026 I was buying items at Dischem Cape Road Port Elizabeth the machines went off after waiting for the slip of the transaction to print. The money went off from my account and I showed them this but no they insisted on me swiping my card again as the money would reverse back into my account according to them. I went back there a week later after seeing that the money never reversed. They said they will request the refund and it will reflect 5 days later till today the 05th of March the money has not reflected.

No one calls you to inform you of what is going on. All the managers including the gentleman working at cash office keeps saying they will follow up and come back to me of which they never do. The service is pathetic to say the least in this regard. At some point they said they will send me communication to show me the response from the people who are processing the refund until today they have not.

This is my money and now it seems I should beg them for it. What is even more annoying is that no one follows up on the matter until I call.

I will never set foot in that store again.
