Dischem **** to us about face shields
Dischem, during the 1st lockdown sold face shields under the guise that these would protect us or minimize the risk of persons contacting Covid. Lately you refuse to allow persons with the very face shields into your store or the plastic moulded masks. Your store in Porchefstroom rather opts to sell us masks, while Clicks allows the very mounded mask in. The moulded mask prevents and particles from entering to the nose or mouth of the user. The Manager was summoned for clarity and identified himself as Oom Willie or something, like really, whose Oom is he and why should I be introduced to an uncle in any case. Besides he was cautioned by me to wear his mask properly, which only covered his mouth and not his nose, like many shoppers inside the store and staff members as well. The President asked for the nose and mouth to be covered and the moulded plastic mask does just that, the very face shield you sold to us to profit yourselves is also no longer acceptable in your stores only. Why then did you sell it. Which regulations are you enforcing or is the word of President not good enough, please provide clarity on firstly the sale of those face shields, which according to your store manager changed with regulations, whereas we had stricter regulations under level 5 and 4 and why can the moulded mask not be allowed in ONLY your stores. Don't profit out of a pandemic. We are tired of you big business oppressing the poor south African under the guise of regulations. I walk into hospitals with the very mask as well as into meetings with the DoH and never was I turned away by the accountable people responsible for managing and drafting the very regulations you supposedly enforce.
