Dischem Green Valley Johannesburg- they're not serious about their jobs

went to Dischem Green Valley branch in ohannesburg today (4th May 2026) at about 17:30.

I wanted to get some Osteoeze Gold medication as I was in alot of pain. I asked the consultant at the Self Med counter if I could get the 60 capsules and she said that it only comes in 90 (I had seen the 60 pack on the online shop)

Anyway I said I would take the 90 capsules and could she put it through self med on my medical aid. She then went to get the meds and came back with a 90 capsule pack and said she had also found the 60 capsule pack. She didn't know it came in 60s.

I asked her to then reverse the 90 pack and put the 60 pack through on my medical aid to which she said she can't as it doesn't have a Nappi code. I said why do you have these items available then if you can't process them. She then became attitudinal and said that that's how it works because they don't know when the things get Nappi codes. I said that means nothing to me and as the customer it's not my problem. She had the absolute audacity to reply it's not her problem either. This person, who works for Dischem, having her salary paid for by customers had the audacity to reply in a way that rubbed me the wrong way.

She said I could pay for the 60 and she could reverse the 90 which I then told her to do. I don't remember her name but lo and behold I escalated her to the Dispensary manager Jacques - at least I got his name.

Jacques was an absolute disaster, even worse than the consultant that I had dealt with. Absolutely no empathy, addressed me with what I interpreted as a "couldn't give a **** attitude about your problem" and I actually just walked out.

80% maybe more of your customers come into your stores because they are sick and in need of help. We don't need the attitude and the bad service that Jacques and his band of merry men and women pedal at your green valley branch. I took the medication and paid for it because I needed something to help with my pain, had I not been in so much pain I would have left it.

Do better man, none of us can afford to be blasé about our jobs in this economy and treat paying customers badly. Or do ya'll just not care? As long as you make money off us you're ok.
