Dischem Doing Medication alterations without informing people.

I called Discovery and primary doctor regarding this situation.

On 1st December 2024 there was a shortage on one of my chronic medications over the whole of South Africa. I called my primary doctor, and she gave me an alternative chronic medication that can be prescribed to me while the shortage of my original chronic mediation was on going till Dischem got in stock again to go back to the original.

This was supposed to be corrected once my original chronic medication was back in stock between Dischem and Discovery never notified me that the was not corrected. I also order my medication to be made up via email every month so I can just go pick it up once needed and asked Dischem to please if my original Chronic medication or alternative go through the medical aid Chronic, but every month Dischem just gives me the medication without checking which one go’s through my medical aid Chronic and is paid for. They just kept letting me pay for my chronic medication in full for 10 months depleting my savings account on my medical aid Chronic way before it supposed to be finished. in my opinion they are committing ***** by doing this and when caught out they try to make excuses.

This is unacceptable.
