Dischem canal walk... too good to apologize for selling me faulty/broken products

I bought a flat iron from them as a gift. It's completely broken. I'm am super embarrassed. I now have to collect the bothed birthday gift, return it to store and no One has even rendered an apology??? Same with their frangrances, i have to prove its faulty spray nozzle.... I really have all the time every and airtime to dramatize faulty products. Honestly.... that's how I spend my day ( lol) Dischem Canal walk, Century City. I'm shocked. Thank you for ruining my shopping experience.
