Dischem Blunder - no apology.
In the so-called efficient service Packmymeds, Dischem issued Normison - fast acting sedative for chronic insomnia, instead of Normoten for blood pressure. When I pointed this out, the pharmacy assistant insisted that the pack said Normeton. It took almost an hour to issue the correct medication. I imagined what would have happened if I had consumed the Normison before getting into my car, with a horrible scenario of a major car accident. Dischem have offer no compensation.

24 Apr 2026, 12:14Dischem Norwood gave me Normison instead of Normeton. For a moment, I was excited as the pack said treatment for chronic insomnia, which I suffer from at times. However, I was expecting Normeton for blood pressure management. The assistant said it was the same thing (as Normeton). In under an hour, she gave me the correct medication. When I realised Normison is a Schedule 5 fast acting sedative, I reported this to Dischem, explaining the potentially life-threating position they had put me in. They have no offered compensation of any kind.
