DISCHEM BABY BAG FALSE PROMISE

As a Dischem shopper I have always been supportive of the store. I am always keeping abreast with their promotions and specials.

When I got pregnant this year, I knew I had to sign up for the Dischem Baby bag. I was 7 months pregnant when I signed up for the baby bag. As we Dischem rules I had to spend R850 to qualify for the bag. Which I did two weeks later. When I began my 8 months of pregnancy I had already spend that R850 as per the terms of Dischem. I was told that the bag is usually available at 33 weeks or 7months of pregnancy. So I figured since I was past 7 months, I would get the bag immediately.

The bag was scheduled to arrive at Dischem Killarney Mall. In October I went to inquire about the bag and I was told it would arrive a week from that particular day, which was the 2nd week of October. I never received a call to come collect the bag.

I thought by October 30th I would have received a call. But nothing. I started to buy the things I needed for my delivery, and at the counter at Dischem the cashiers (because I went multiple times) asked me why I was buying , did I not sign up for the bag? I told them I did but nothing had been communicated. I went to inquire again and the bag wasn’t there yet.

I gave birth the weekend of November 7th. Without receiving the Dischem baby. I still have not received a call.

I followed all the rules pertaining to the Dischem bag. I spent R850 promptly in order to receive the bag cause I know I needed it. For example yesterday I went back to Dischem Killarney to buy some things that would’ve been part of the Dischem bag and they were finished. It’s really disappointing to see Dischem service drop so badly lately. Especially when it has been my favorite store.
