Dischem and their lower standards

I regularly get my prescriptions renewed by my doctor and then I take it to Dischem to be updated on their system to ensure I am not caught off guard on a month where I don't have any prescriptions left.

So like usual on the 3rd of March 2021 I went to my psychiatrist to get my prescription renewed and its not cheap to see a specialist without medical aid. I then took the prescription to Dischem and told them here is the new one please update on the system. The lady then took the prescription promising to update it on the system and also made me a copy as requested by me.

Today 28/04/2021 Dischem phones me telling me can they deliver my last repeat. I am shocked as how can a 5 repeat prescription already be finished when I took it in in March 2021!! I then check my medication delivered and it was for the previous prescription not the one that was renewed in March!!!!!

I phone Dischem and tell them the story that I took the prescription and asked for it to be updated. they then say I must bring the copy, but it won't help me as they don't accept copies! So, now I must pay the psychiatrist literally thousands to get a new prescription! because Dischem says I must come in to sort it out, but it won't really help as I need an original prescription, but they did not update the prescription, and I can only presume if its not updated and they don't have it the lady put it in the trash can!!!
