Disatisfaction

I Dis-Chem Glen Lucia Branch at La Lucia Mall to collect the medication @ around 08h30 - 08h45 this morning (12 April 2017). I went to Pre-Ordered Medication counter between 08h30 - 08h40 and there was a white lady being served by an Indian employee. i patiently waited for them to finish as i realized that the customer was asking questions - i had to wait +-3mins. The employee who was serving the white lady saw me waiting, but when she finished serving her, she left and i assumed she was going to drop something or capture some details on the system, and she'll come back. Unfortunately, she did not come back - i had to wait for approx another 3 mins. Noticing that she is not coming back, i rang the bell located on the couner, i heard that it rang cause it was early in the morning and the store was not busy. Employees were walking pass me waiting at the counter, but no one tried to help - they just walked pass me waiting there. i had to wait for approx 5 mins whilst the other two employees were chatting on my right hand side (if i'm not mistaken it was a Muslim & Indian ladies) going on with their small chats - totally ignoring me as i was invisible. Eventually, one Indian lady came to my rescue, she asked me if i've been served and i told her that i rang the bell, but no one came to assist - I told her that i was there to collect medication and it took less than a minute to complete the transaction i.e. take medication from the ***eon whole, i signed the slip, i thanked her and was on my way out. I was not impressed at all with poor service and when people start complaining, you always say Black people enjoy playing a race card when it suits them, but in this case i think i am qualified to play that race card as the the employee was quick to help a white lady and i had to wait for someone else to notice my existence whilst the rest were pretending as if i'm invisible. i did not want to cause a scene by screaming or ringing the bell a million times, but patiently waited to be helped.
